The sheng is another ancient Chinese musical instrument that emits sound by the vibration of reed.It became very fashionable during the Zhou,as it played accompaniment for court singers and dancers.Then it found its way among commoners,and became a common instrument in singing concerts,temple fair celebrations and other events.
